We take the service stairs down to the basement. This place and the one next to it used to have connecting doors and if we're lucky we can get into an old prohibition smuggling tunnel that goes all the way down the block.
[Oooo, a crowbar. He looks at it in momentary surprise and then just takes it in stride apparently. Or maybe a little more than in stride, he seems very pleased to be of use to her.]

[Since she's given him the crowbar he assumes she means to put him to work on said doors. He hooks the crowbar over his shoulder and dutifully follows her.]
[ She shrugs and leads the way to the stairs, not looking back to make sure he's following. He does or he doesn't. Makes no difference to her. ]
I've had to sneak around down there before. Some parts are real grimy. You got hot water at your place, don'tcha?
[ The fact that hot water isn't a given for her may be revealing a little too much about her general quality of life. But hey, she gets by! And if he's going to stalk her, she might as well make use of him. ]
I call first dibs on the shower. Now be a sweetheart and go pull that fire alarm for a distraction. Breaking the doors will be loud and I want that noise cover.
[ She squats to get a better look at the lock keeping them out of the staff only area. It's designed to need a key card but she can probably smash through with a little creativity. ]
